The USS Bausell, named after Lewis K. Bausell, was a destroyer ship with the identification DD-845. It was laid down by Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine, on May 28, 1945, and then launched on November 19, 1945. The USS Bausell was commissioned on February 7, 1946, and remained active for 32 years and 3 months until it was decommissioned on May 30, 1978.

The same day it was decommissioned, the ship was also stricken. Eventually, the USS Bausell met its fate on July 17, 1987, when it was sunk as a target.
