The organization and distribution of this Trust are overseen by guidelines outlined in the Trust Distribution Procedures (TDP), sanctioned by the bankruptcy court.

The Federal Mogul Asbestos Personal Injury Trust is divided into four distinct subfunds: the T&N Subfund, the FMP Subfund, the Fel-Pro Subfund, and the Vellumoid Subfund. Each sub-fund has its specific timeframe for accepting claims. For instance, the T&N Subfund began its claim acceptance on August 25, 2010, while the FMP Subfund started on September 17, 2018.
