These companies, including Turner & Newall (T&N), Flexitallic, Ferodo, Federal-Mogul Products Inc. (FMP), Fel-Pro, and Vellumoid, are collectively referred to as the "Federal-Mogul Entities." Each holds a responsibility in accordance with the prevailing tort law and is bound by the Trust Agreement and the Plan of Reorganization.

The Trust, with its organization, ensures all legitimate asbestos injury claims against the Federal-Mogul Entities and other connected, protected parties are duly addressed. This is executed per the Trust Distribution Procedures (TDP), sanctioned by the bankruptcy court. The Trust houses four distinct subfunds, each designed for a specific entity.

These subfunds include the T&N, FMP, Fel-Pro, and Vellumoid subfunds, each with its timeline for accepting claims. For instance, the T&N Subfund began its claim acceptance on August 25, 2010, while the FMP Subfund initiated its process on September 17, 2018.
